Best enjoyed whilst roaming

Grown between 1,500–2,400m in Costa Rica's Dota Valley, this coffee comes from Coope Dota – the world's first carbon-neutral coffee mill. A cooperative of 1,000+ farmers working with shade trees, forests, and innovative projects to protect both land and people.

We think it tastes like red apple, caramel, and hazelnut.

Perfect for filter, cafetière or Aeropress.

Roast level: Light

Story

Roam comes from the highlands of Santa Maria de Dota in Costa Rica, where coffee has shaped both the landscape and the people who call it home. Since 1960, the Coope Dota Cooperative has grown from 96 farmers to nearly 1,100, all working together to produce exceptional coffee while looking after the land beneath their feet.

They were the world's first coffee processor to become carbon neutral, and they're still pushing forward today. They're investing in coffee schools for young people, and creating opportunities that help families stay rooted in their communities rather than moving away.

Across the farms you'll find coffee growing beneath shade trees, alongside protected forests that are home to birds and wildlife. It isn't industrial farming. It's about growing coffee carefully, but also paying close attention to the place you're already in.
